Love In A Mist Vintage Pressed Flower Glass Frame
The Love in a mist, also called Nigella Damascena, grows originally in Europe, Middle-East and Asia. The word ‘Damascena’ comes from Damascus, the capital of Syria.
Blooming in early summer, the Love in a mist gives a country-style touch to our interiors all year long… No wonder it became so popular during the Elizabethan era (1558–1603) and has been blooming in so many cottage gardens throughout the UK since!
The name Love in a mist comes from its unique shape and ‘misty’ foliage. The flower is sometimes seen as a symbol of the bonds that bind people together, like in a family. It represents harmony and love despite all differences.
This Nigella is surrounded by wild Fern and white Gypsophila. It comes with a modern dark grey frame that can be used hanging or standing thanks to a metal chain and an easel.
